Can’t Pay Aqua Credit Card
Aqua Credit Card is owned by the Newday group of companies. Aqua started issuing credit cards in 2002 – offer credit card to customers who have an unconventional or no credit history. Since Aqua started issuing credit cards they have issued them to over 750,000 people. They promote the Aqua credit card as a way to rebuild a damaged credit rating or to start building a no existent credit rating if the card is used and the credit on the card is paid off regularly. The advertised APR varies from 29.7% APR (Aqua Classic Credit Card) to 49.9% (Aqua Start Credit Card) which is over double many of the mainstream credit cards interest rates. However to get the better credit card APR rate you would need to have excellent credit history. You can find better options out there (depending on your credit history) if you look so make sure you do your homework before you sign up for an Aqua Credit Card. But what if you can’t pay your Aqua credit card?
Aqua Credit Card issue 4 credit cards – these are;
- Aqua Start – 49.9% APR – Start building credit
- Aqua Classic – 29.79% APR – Rebuild damaged credit history
- Aqua Advance – 34.9% APR – Reduced rate!
- Aqua Reward – 34.9% APR – 0.5% Cashback – reward card for those with poor credit
All of their card range are offered by MasterCard.
Aqua admit themselves that their cards are aimed primarily at people who have run into financial problems and may as a result have a bad or poor credit history. Or who have no credit history at all. Aqua will assess your current personal situation rather than just turning you away based on the past credit history. Aqua also say that responsible use of their credit cards can help people with bad credit to rebuild their credit rating. However judging by reports they don’t do this effectively enough and will often lumber their customers with more debt than they can handle – especially given the extremely high interest rates that they are charging.
We are receiving increased reports from people visiting this site that are say things like “I can’t pay my Aqua credit card” and “I can’t afford to pay Aqua”, amongst other things we cannot publish!
If you are having problems with a Aqua credit card we can help you – just fill in this form and we will get back to you. We have teamed up with ideptplan as they are the top rated UK debt portal and have had great reports about them sorting out debt problems.
As with any credit card, customers will usually have repayment problems when they reach their agreed credit limit and then they are left with nothing except for the high monthly interest charges. If the person is then unable to make the minimum repayment of the debt, the amount owed will be more than likely increased further. Once behind with their payments, we know that many of our customers receive ongoing phone calls and letters chasing for payment, which makes their situation even worse and increasingly stressful.
Paying Off Payday Loans With Aqua Credit Card
Although the interest rate on an Aqua card is high, it is lower than charged by Payday Loan companies.It would make sense paying off a high interest payday loan with a credit card but payday loan companies won’t allow you to do this. The interest rate is so much lower on a credit card than it would be with the likes of Wonga, Sunny and RedWallet. One way to get around the problem of paying your payday loan with a credit card is to withdraw cash on the credit card and then us that cash to pay your payday loan. But beware as interest is charged by Aqua from the day you take out the money from the machine. There is also a 3% (minimum £3) cash advance fee. Though this may still be better than your payday loan repayments.
